The weekend is beautiful with sunshine on Saturday, summer humidity and highs in the low 80s before the wind shifts to the NE and cools the lakefront into the lower 70s. According to the We Energies outage map, 28,068 customers were without power as of 5:40 p.m. including 13,034 in Racine and around 4,000 each in Kenosha and Salem.
At 1 p.m., the weather service issued an additional severe thunderstorm watch that added the northern portion of the Milwaukee metro area as well as Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Oshkosh, Appleton, Green Bay, Manitowoc, Door County and parts of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
