Roseanne Supernault is an Actress originally from East Prairie Metis Settlement, Canada. She always thought she might end up pursuing science or law. Born in northern Alberta to a Politician Father and Artist Mother, her eclectic upbringing included classical training in art, theatre, and dance; practicing and sustaining her cultural hunting & land rights as an Indigenous Cree Metis; and being exposed to the politics and social justice movements of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Supernault no longer lives to meet other people’s expectations, but is content to be happy and confident in who she is and in her efforts to improve the world. When she was filming Maïna in the wilds of Quebec, she recalled her childhood when her father taught her skills like hunting and trapping, navigating by the stars, and surviving in the bush.
