UK Summer 1969 The venue was great and the staff were super friendly and I really appreciated how hard they worked to keep everyone safe and hydrated as it was a very hot day.

Nobody, not least the promotors themselves, knew what they had let themselves in for… We had also become very friendly with Bill Thompson, who managed the Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead. Our first time at the festival last year, we enjoyed every second but our favourite moment was seeing Van Morrison perform. I don’t want you here, I want you to leave.
